Oi Va Voi
유태 민요를 독자적으로 소화한 독특한 음악성으로 유럽에서 높은 평가를 얻고 있는
오이 바 보이(Oi Va Voi), 이들이 2003년 데뷰앨범 Laughter Through Tears를 들고 나타났을때,
그들의 생동하는 라이브에 모두 어깨를 들썩이며 환호했다.
90년말 트럼펫의 Lemez Lovas, 드럼의 Josh Breslaw, 베이스 Leo Bryant, 클라리넷 Steve Levi, 기타 Nik Ammar 그리고 마지막으로 바이올린의 Sophie Solomon이 모여 밴드를 시작했다.
현재는 여기에 여성보컬 Bridgette Amofah가 새로 참여했고, 베이스가 Matt Jury로 바뀌었다.
이들 음악의 바탕에는 레프트필드 재즈, 힙합, 락, 드럼 앤 베이스, 클레즈머까지 다양하게 자리잡고 있다.
자미로콰이(Jamiroquai), 카일리 미노그(Kylie Minogue), 퀸(Queen) 등 탑 뮤지션의 프로듀싱을 다룬 마이크 스펜서(Mike Spencer)의 프로듀스로 탄생한 2007년 앨범 Oi Va Voi 중에서 세계최초의 우주인 유리 가가린의 첫 우주비행을 노래한 Yuri.
